Privacy policy

Club Garage is a club app. This policy says what we store so a club can run, and how you can delete it. It is written for the Google Play listing as well as the website.
Who it's for
Club Garage is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. Sign-up asks you to confirm your age. We don't ask for a date of birth.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, password hash, and the age confirmation.
- Profile: city, bio, and a photo if you add one.
- Garage: cars, photos, and build-sheet entries, including optional part links and prices you type in.
- Clubs: membership, role, posts, comments, events, RSVPs, and reports you file.
- Messages: the text of direct messages between members, and who blocked whom.
We don't sell this information. We don't run a parts store in this version of the app.
Who can see it
Other signed-in members can see your name, city, bio, photo, and public cars. Private cars stay on your account. Club posts and events are visible to active members of that club. Private clubs are hidden without an invite. Direct messages are visible only to the two people in the thread. Club owners, admins, and moderators can see reports in their club. Owners and admins can see join requests.
The database enforces those limits with row-level security. The app server is the only thing that talks to the database — there is no public database key in the browser.
How long we keep it
We keep account data until you delete the account. Deleting the account removes your profile, cars, messages, and memberships. If you own a club, ownership passes to another admin, moderator, or member when one exists. A club that only contains you is deleted with the account.
Where it runs
The app is hosted on Vercel. The database is hosted Postgres (Neon or another Postgres provider you configure). Photos in this version are stored in that database.
Delete your account
In the app, open You and use Delete account. You can also email privacy@clubgarage.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. Play requires that deletion be available, and this is that path.
